pulling from two of the biggest art genres, portraits, and floral still lives, ’flower face’ series meshes the two together to create some uniquely beautiful and sometimes uneasy imagery. kristen arranges the flowers by gluing pinning, and tying flowers to and around her subjects, who sit in dusk’s window light. the images reference classical dutch still lives of the 17th century.
