petra vlckova // slovakian

petra’s series ‘listening trees’ is an attempt to show human intervention on our natural landscape. the impact of human presence on a landscapes is often quite conscious, deliberate and ultimately negative. however at times it can also become a positive intervention, with its own unique visual value, that goes unnoticed to most.

working with a medium format camera, petra’s photographs are a long term observation of these situations, capturing and articulating the particular aesthetic of these interactions.
